Default 17" on 2000 RL - rubbing in the rear

Guys, just put a set of 17" rims with 225/55/17 - work great on the front, but rub on the rear fender lips. Removed the rears and bent the fender lips up, which really helped, but did not completely solve the problem. The car has 166K on it and I think the rear springs have sagged over the years and need replaced - who offers aftermarket springs for the 2000 RL. My only other thought is to install a spacer to get the 1/2" to 1" lift I need.

Any suggestions?

I think its better to meet some good mechanic then get it clear about you modifications you are going to make for your car.
