Ihave2 Acuras both have problems starting. The problem occurs 1-2 times a day. It happens mostly after reaching my destination and then attempting to start again. Usually after 2-5 minutes of patience, it turns over and I'm on my way hoping it doesn't happen again after my next stop.Of course, the problem never occurs at the mechanic.Has anyone else had this problem? If so, what was it?

I have a 94 Integra 1.8 RS which won't start. My
daughter was backing up in a parking lot when it
died. she couldn't restart it although it turns over
strong. I'm thinking either the Neutral Safety switch or
the coil. I'm not getting spark to the plugs. Any
suggestions? Also where is the neutral safety
switch located. It is a manual tranny. I couldn' t locate
it in a shop manual.

I will promise it is not the neutral safety switch, it the switch were bad it would not allow the engine to turn over at all. No sparks means start at the coil and look for the missing spark.

Thanks for the Neutral safety switch info. It was the
coil. I did an impedance check with my ohmmeter
and it read low 10.5 (range 12.6-19.6). I bought a
new one for $77, installed it and it runs fine. Thanks
for the help!!

A weak fuel pump (1 that works but not within correct pressure range)

can have trouble pushing a fuel vapor bubble out of the lines and back into the tank.

vapor lock happens when the vehicle has been run up to temp then shut
off. causing the lines to heat soak and boil the fuel into
a vapor.

have a fuel presser test preformed. befor spending any other moneys on the car.

A main fuel pump relay can cause this if it is falty and intermittent.
