The Acura dealer said there is a cap-screw on the top of the transaxle that can be removed to add AT fluid after draining the existing fluid. Is this correct? Approximately where is it?


2003 TL (not Type S)

 

it is true its a huge 17mm bolt about the size of a silver dollar coin.

if you are standing infront of the car with the hood open.

the firewall is the 12oclock position and the driver side front tire is at 3o clock. its at 2oclock and way down on top of the transmission and it points straight up.

pulling the air box upper assembly from the engine will make it asd plain as day.

 

please please make sure you use the correct type of transmission fluid. and dont stick a plastic funnel in there if the transmission is hot. it can melt into the transmission.



P.S. dont ask how i know this.

 

Many thanks. I'm sure I'll be able to find it, and I don't even like to work on cars when they are hot, so I don't think I'll melt a funnel to the upper casing of the transaxle...however, I have also done similar things to which I will not readily admit.< =""><!--
