I am reposting my question because I have more information now.


I have a '99 Acura TL with 280,000 miles. The problem I am having is that after driving the car for a while (5 to 20 minutes) the car dies. The car willnot restart for 5 to 10 minutes; then it will start with no problems.


Here are some details:


-shows no codes


-after it dies the starter will turn the engine over, but the engine will not run.


-Normaly the green key light lights up for a second or two when the key is ignition is turned to the run position. After it dies the green key light does not turn on when the ignition is turned to the on or run position. After a few minutes the light operates normaly and the car starts.


-The ignition switch has been replaced.
