98 RL - Question about weird steering
So, I have a 98 that now has 230,000 miles. It runs great. My biggest concern about it is that the steering is not quite right. When it is cold, like 40 degrees or less, there is a lot of "play" in the wheel. For example, when driving down the road, I can rotate the wheel left or right probably 10 degrees out of 360 before the car responds. When it is hot, as it is now in the summer, there is still some play but much less. It is not very annoying now, but it is much more annoying in the cooler weather.
Since I love my car, I have twice taken it to a local Honda/Acura specialist and asked about the problem. The mechanic put it up on the rack and showed me that when you rotate the wheel even a little bit the wheels move. He thought it was normal. I pestered him some more, and he told me that the tie rods were fine, and that I should not worry about it. Now, when a mechanic, who would otherwise make money on a repair, tells me not to worry about it, I feel a little foolish.
Do you guys have any ideas? I am willing to pay to get it right. I have had the car for two years and it is great otherwise. I do think it's related to the temperature, but I don't know what to do about it. Power steering seems fine, so I can't think why to change the power steering pump or fluid.
I did the timing belt at 220,000 or so, so all that should be fine.
Please help. Thanks.

I think you should go to some good work station. If the problem is with your steerin than dont take it easy because it can cause accident. Plz go and get it checked properly somewhere else rather than wasting your money at the same place.
