Dash Display Black Out
2019 RDX Advanced Package with 61K miles. While driving my car the dash display went black. Lost all dash info, cruise control, Lane assist, Heads-up display, parking assist, backup camera, steering wheel remote controls and A/C is no longer cold. Also, I must now push and hold Start/Stop button for several seconds to turn car off.
Auto Zone found error code U0155 - Instrument Panel Control Module (IPC) stopped communicating. Simplest fault listed is bad battery - checked original battery and it is okay.
I read in the Honda CRV forums that a blown fuse would cause similar problem with CRVs. I am unable to determine which fuse or fuses provide power to the IPC. I am hoping it is a fuse and not the IPC itself.
Any help or suggestions? Thanks.

Sometimes we cannot see what is right in front of us. I found the "Meter" fuse. It is located on the small interior fuse panel. Labeled -- get this -- "METER" . I must of looked at that drawings three times and never saw it. After looking at the pictures of fuse panels again this morning I found the fuse. I pulled it and checked and sure enough it was blown. Replaced it and dashboard display is working fine. Here is a link to the website I used to find fuse location -- https://www.startmycar.com/us/acura/...o/fusebox/2019
Hopefully my experience can help someone else.
Thanks
Well bad news on my display problem. The “meter” fuse continued to blow and I finally took my rdx to the dealer. After a couple of days investigating the problem they told me it is in the display itself. The display cannot be repaired and must be replaced. — $2,000 for their troubleshooting and to replace with new display.
At least the dealer is giving me a loaner.

Well, as I said above, my Acura Service guy said the Display module (meter) was bad and replaced it for $1,200 plus labor. I went to pick up the car, paid almost $2,000 total and left. I made it about 4 miles and the dashboard went black again. I took the car back and got "my" loaner and left my car with the dealer. One week later I was told some suspicious connectors were replaced. I was told my car is fixed and ready to go. I was not charged anymore for their effort and drove away. I made it about 15 miles this time and the dashboard went black. I returned the car and the dealer was very sorry and I suggested getting their one tech to call Acura HQ for help. I left with my loaner again. They have the car for over 2 weeks. FYI, they charge $160 per hour for troubleshooting. I am worried. They called 2 days ago and said it was fixed but they wanted to put some mileage on it to insure the fix held. They put about 80 miles on my car without any incident. Today I picked up my car and everything works. I was not charged anything more for this repair. I made it home (about 20 miles) and still have a functioning RDX.
The oddest thing about this is how they fixed it. The tech was looking at cables between the different modules. He was doing pin to pin continuity checks and was zeroing in on the cable between the Display module (meter) and the Body Control Module. All the continuity checks were good but when he reattached the cable the system suddenly worked and has continued to work ever since. MAGIC. As I was picking up my car I spoke to the service rep. He was explaining what the tech did with the connectors. I thought about it and said ..... " So he jiggled it?? " He smiled and looked embarrassed but didn't know what to say. When I was a navy electronic tech (ET) we used to call problems like this GREMLIMS - very hard to localize. Sometimes hitting the device or jiggling it would fix it. Anyway, my car is fixed.
fingers crossed.

Well after the jiggle fix by my local Acura Dealer's Tech, I was able to drive my car for about 3 weeks when the dashboard went black again. I returned it to the dealership and asked if their tech was able to get help from someone else like at Honda/Acura HQ. They informed me the tech has had several online help sessions with the company engineers. I left with a loaner. Over two weeks later I called and asked "How's my car"? Still broke and the corporate engineers say it now needs a new wiring harness and the cost for that is about $2,800.00. I asked if they wanted to buy the car? Service rep said he would ask.
Here is the problem - I already paid $2,000 to replace my dashboard display thinking it would fix it, but it did not. So now they are saying pay us another $3,000 so we can fix it. I don't trust that this fix will actually remedy the situation.
I believe the value of my car in working condition is somewhere around $21,000 to $23,000. I was expecting an offer of maybe $15,000. They called and offered me $20,000 for my car "as is". I accepted their offer. At closing, I asked what they were going to do with the car and the dealership owner's rep said they were going to send it to auction. So beware if you buy cars at auction. DO NOT buy that white 2019 RDX Advanced with 61,000 miles.
I took their money and ran straight to the bank. I am now looking to a new pickup truck (not made by Honda).
