Hello,

I own a 2010 acura rdx with 177 xxx kilometers.

When I shift into drive from either park, neutral, or reverse and car makes a clunk and violently lunges forward. Watched the engine while someone changed it to drive and it moved about 2 inches.

Not noticing anything too alarming when I'm driving. There is a slight, slight, slight lunge forward when it shifts gears.

Just wondering what this could be, thanks in advance!

 

When your car lunges forward does the engine rpm jump?

 

2010...might need new motor mounts. While observing the engine movement, have someone put the car into gear WHILE THEY HAVE THE BRAKE PEDAL DEPRESSED. There should only be slight movement of the engine.
