Default 2000 Acrua RL Radio Code

Just bought an RL and I love it. Dealer had to change the battery and we can't find a radio code anywhere so I have to get the radio serial number. I don't want to break the beautiful peice of trim around the radio. Anyone have instructions on how to best remove the radio so I can get the serial number? If it were a 2001 I could use the hit button 1 and 6 trick to get the serial number. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Dave

yes you do but have them do it that way if they brake it they can replace it also they should do it for free since they took the battery off.

Smile raio code

David
The same thing happened to me I have a 2000 TL after months of no radio I found it. My car has a CD holder just above the sterio and I found the code was on a sticker under that holder.

Good luck

I think the dealer should be responsible with all the procedure. They should know where the serial is and if they change the battery, let them manage all fixes until it's done.

After disconnecting my battery I also had the radio lock up. Best solution I could find online was this service I used:
