Grinding noise! Please HELP!
Hi all! I'm new to this forum and I'm hoping to find answers to my question based on your expertise. I have a 2003 MDX with about 70,000 miles (give or take). I bought it used and I'm happy with it except the grinding noise I hear coming from the bottom of the vehicle when I accelerate. No one seems to know exactly what it is, but I'm sure that someone on this forum has had this happen to their MDX before or have heard of such thing.
Can any of you guys tell me what causes the grinding noise? It gets pretty loud sometimes, and I can actually feel the car shaking when it does it. It comes and goes, but this is our family car and I'm just affraid that it's more serious than what it is. I wouldn't want anything to happen while we're driving.
Please help me out if you guys have any clue of what's going on with my problem. Thank you in advance!

When you say "No one seems to know exactly what it is..." are you referring to a repair shop or your next door neighbor.
A grinding noise that severe sounds like something potentially very serious (and it could be a number of items, i.e. the transmission, lack of engine oil, your wheels, etc). I strongly recommend you take your vehicle to an Acura repair shop for evaluation as soon as possible. Any further delays could compound your problems and repair costs.
