Default Help with MDX problem

I have a 02 MDX with 150k in miles and yesterday when driving on the highway I went to pass a slower car, when I depressed the gas the car jerked like I was hit, the rpms rose and then lowered and as soon as I let off the gas it went back to normal driving. This is the first time this has happened but today driving into work, I was able to recreate a couple of times same as above, once I let off normal driving resumed. Also, no Check Engine light came on.

I would appreciate any ideas anyone has and pointing me in a direction for a fix and estimated cost.

This sounds as tho your throttle cable might bind up and then unbind when you get opff the throttle..call your dealer and ask them if I might be right...

Spoke with a Mechanic he said he thought that it might be the transmission fluid needed to be flushed and replaced and an additive added? This sound reasonable? I have not had the tranny fluid replaced, so this would be the first since the car was driven off the lot, by the way I am the original owner.

Well the tranny flush didn't fix it, any more ideas on what it could be?

Thought I would post again, seems like the hard jerk has stopped now the car just seems to shift out of gear. Basically when your driving it acts as though you have shifter the car into neutral press on the gas nothing rpms rise, if you take the shifter and move it to fourth the problem goes away immediately. This seems to only happen in fifth. Any ideas would be appreciated.
