overheating

</>I have a 93 integra. If the car just sits it will start to overheat. I took the thermastat out b/c I thought maybe it was stuck but it still overheats. Does anyone have any ideas?

If it is just sitting, the fans need to come on when it gets hot. If the fans are coming on, then I would check to see that there is circulation in the radiator. Take the cap off, start the engine, look into the raditor while revving the motor. You should be able to see the water moving. There is also an air bleeder no the thermostat housing. make sure you are not air bound.

take it to a few shops and have a combustable leak test performed tyo make sure that head is tight and not leaking

if yes then get a second opinion
