Question for everyone. I just bought a new 08TL. I notice that when I apply the brakes from speeds at or above around 45 to 50 mph that I get a rumble through the steering column and a significant audible noise that sounds a bit like a race car slowing down. This seems odd to me. It may have been like this since I bought it but I am just getting aquainted to the noises and feel of the vehicle. Can anyone tell me if this is normal or if your TL's are quiet as a mouse when you apply the brakes? Thanks in advance!

try check brake pads and disc brakes. it sound like your brake pads going bad.

Both of my TL's are quiet.

Sounds like you need to run the car by the dealer service dept.

You could also check the tire pressure on your tires to see if they're all even.

That is what I would do. I know my 08 is quiet as a mouse.
