Service B1234
I have had a "Service Due B123" alert pending and it recently updated to "Service Due B1234". The majority research that I see indicates that this refers to:
Oil change, tire rotation, brake inspection, parking brake, cabin air filter, drive belt, transmission fluid, and spark plugs.
This is no surprise and I have a plan to tackle the maintenance myself and via a dealer very soon. However, I also came across this explanation:
"A Short in the Driver's Air Mix Control Motor Circuit Description: A malfunction in the drivers air mix control motor has been detected. NOTE: Perform the self-diagnostic with the HDS or the climate control unit."
Is the first a service reminder and the latter a diagnostic code? Regardless, no engine light or other obvious symptom has been noticed.
Peace,
Dr. Z.
