2021 RDX OEM Cargo Protector Removable?
Hi all,
We just purchased a CPO '21 RDX (our 2nd RDX).
Planning to get a cargo mat and an OEM Cargo Protector (2nd row seat back protector & wheel well humps). I'm planning to have that
installed since it requires putting holes in the setbacks.
But first a question -
Anyone know if I'll be able to take these installed Cargo Protectors out to clean occasionally (or replace eventually if they get really roughed up)? Or are they permanent once in?
Thanks in advance for any thoughts!

I ruled out these Cargo Protectors on a 2022 RDX because after reading the installations I felt they weren't removable without some difficulty. You can find the installations at 2021 RDX Cargo Protectors . Note on page 1 of the instructions the content that reads "The protectors themselves are held in place with plastic rivets that must be installed with a 6 mm Rotabroach Kit. You must install the rivets in a specific sequence. So, be sure to follow the steps in the installation instructions; they are written to ensure proper installation."
Hey John. Sorry for late reply (just say your post), but I ended up ruling out the Cargo Protector for the same reason you did.
I still like how clean those protectors would look when installed, but I eventually realized that the better solution to my needs is a much more easily removable (and far cheaper) water repellent cover. And the good news is that there seems to be a big assortment of options for those.
