Default 2017 Timing Belt

Bought this AWD RDX about 6 months ago at 91k miles. Started noticing a vibrating type noise on cold start ups.
It had the timing belt and tensioner done at 60k miles according to Carfax. Turns out the noise WAS the timing belt tensioner. Had the water pump and coolant changed also(Acura Coolant). Now it's nice and quiet on start ups & drives nicely.
One mechanic said it was the oil filter. Said it didn't have the check valve in it. Well I changed the oil and filter to a Mobile One filter with the check valve. No difference. Feel so much better the car is fixed properly now!

Yes, run (don’t walk) from this charlatan. It can be difficult to find an honest mechanic, but they are out there.
