Default MDX 2006 Transmission problem????

HI I just bought a mdx 2006 with 112 000 KM and I want to know if it is normal that when I park it in a hill and take it out of Park position it feels like the transmission is jumping!!!! But I have no problem with it when driving or on a flat surface.

Next time when parking, before you put into park on the hill set the parking brake, then put into park. Does this help? It would seem like the weight of the vehicle on a hill is putting excessive pressure on the parking rod. If this is the case it is common and not to be a concern.

Just do what this quote says. It helped for my MDX. The MDX transmission is probably a little flimsy.

On any hill, I usually move the shift lever to neutral (with my foot on the brake of course), set the parking brake, and then let the car roll a few inches until the parking brake energizes fully (drum brakes clamp more tightly the more load you put on them) and the car stops completely.

Then I shift the transmission into park, knowing there's no load on the parking pawl in the transmission.
