Default 2012 MDX review

Hello all,

I spent a week with a new MDX last month courtesy of Acura's press fleet, and absolutely loved the car. My loaner had the Technology and Entertainment packages, and was a really nice car to spend time in. I'd like to hear from new MDX owners and others familiar with the vehicle.

I've had the RDX for a lease and had a mixed feeling about it. It's nice enough inside and the power is adequate and so was the size. I think that was the bottom line - everything was barely enough. It wasn't the biggest, fastest, or nicest. I kinda wish it had more orientation towards at least one of those factors, rather than just being mediocre in everything and trying to be part of everything.

I wonder how the MDX compares to that. What car did you come from prior to this?

Having reviewed ten or so SUVs since November, I'd say the MDX is very competitive in its class. The tipping point comes over the pricey option packages. If you can do without all the extra equipment the value is definitely there.
