right side axle
#1
i think i broke my axle on the right side because i was at a light in the left turning lane and i pulled up the e brake and dumped the clutch to put out alot of smoke and i heard a weird sound my friend behind me said that it was only one wheel spining but i cant take sharp turns and it makes a sort of grinding\clicking sound i need help if it is my axle how much does it go for and how hard is it to do can i do it myself or is it something i should leave to the mechanics?

yup im betting on a popped axle or very soon the be popped.
axles are around 100 remaned used 25-50 new oem as much as 500
the install is easy.
pop the lower ball joint loose
remove the axle nut
remove the lower spring/shock bolt
then pop the axle out
reverse it to install
lube the splines and seal surfaces
dont forget a NEW cotter pin 1/8X1.5
and dont forget to punch the axle nut so it wont counterspin off
wheel tork at 100 foot pounds
i can do this in around 15 min.
