please help integra brakes
#1
Hi I have a 90 integra ls(non abs) with a brake problem it is my caliper on the driver side makes a clicking noise, the noise stops when i press down on the brake pedal. It seems like it is stuck on the disc. The disc moves but not as freely as the other side. It even creates a vibration in the steering wheel . I put new discs and pads on it. I even tried a junk caliper. The junk caliper was froze on there too but way worse. Please help

good to hear mine just has the dumb abs light that only comes on after I drive the car for a little bit....Don't know yet what may be the problem I had it checked and i was told it was the sensor but that shouldn't set off the light unless it melted to the caliper.

i'm also having a problem, not sure if it's my brakes, but i'm almost
positive it is. i have a 96 integra RS. it has 195,000
miles on it. the only problem is that i have an odd noise, almost
like a scraping noise and it worsens when i turn. i recently just
bought this car. when i press the brakes, the noise seems to
cease. there is no noticeable rotor wear. any ideas?
I was thinking either i need to replace the pads or I might need a new
wheel bearing or to just pack it more.

take off your brake calipier and use the hardware as a frame of refrence. spin the disc if it looks like it is wobbly then have the discs machined it could be a warped rotor. If the problem still continues it could be the hub that the rotor is connected to. have a mechanic look at the runout on the hub it could be bent just slightly. and that would cause the pads to scrape against the rotors hencebe the sound you are hearing.
