how do I make a ls engine into a ls/vtec?

I got a b18b ls block and i just bought a dohc vtec head for it[img]smileys/smiley4.gif[/img]... is there anything else i have to do but to replace the non vtec head with the vtec one?

vtec computer and harness should do it.

would I be able to keep my stock computer and just reprogram it somehow?

nope

there is no provision for the vtec into the ls ecm nor are there plugs for the engine into the harness.


but.

there are companys that build vtec computers and stand alone harnesses with 1 of those your old ecm should work fine.

first you must change the computer program. because its different. but i think it's hard mo make it real. good luck

Im doin this setup, u will have to get a vtec conversion kit, vtecdistributor and ecu, they make a conversion harness also u will need, i was told 92-95 is best to go to obd1 and to get a gsr trans so it doesnt fall on its face
