Okay, I'm new here and just getting started on my adventure into the Hona world. My finished projects list : 2001 Toyota Solara, 5sfe Turbo rebuild; 1998 Grand Am GT 2.4 L Turbo Complete rebuild.

The reason I am here. I just bought a 1993 Integra DA B18. She is near mint condition and completely stock. My problem. I want a monster. But I don't know where to start. I already have my kit bought, and my body planned out but what to do engine wise? I was thinking about a swap but I don't know wich way to go. I want something that I can buy my wirring and mounts for something that I can throw in without having to do heavy modding myself as I do not have the machinery to do it. I need some real advice here. All information is appreciated so I can have this car finished by the end of summer. But I will tell you this I want to keep my power steering. I am an avid street racer and like to cruise on occasion. Please help me.

is it a v-tec? how many miles does you engine have? my understanding of b18c1(gsr and type-r motors)motors is that they are great for both N/A and boost setups, just gotta check to see how 'healthy' the engine is..compression test stuff like that... you should check out www.team-integra.net

theres alot of good articles over there and good discusions that might help you out....

sorry i cant give you more im still doing alot of learnin myself

I kinda doubt that an engine from 93 will be up to being boosted without being rebuilt (high miles). I think that a non-vec will handle boost better cause of the lower pistoncompression. If you want to spend the money on a swap, gotta go K-series! The K20A1 long block from the DC5 RSX w/ it's six speed manualrun N/A in that light of a car would be sick. There is a company called RyWire (www.RYWIRE.com) that can make you a harness for any application/engine, ECU combo.

several companies make complete turbo or supercharger kits for your cars current engine that come with everthing including the ECU making it pretty much bolt on. What is your engine code? Good Luck!Edited by: AKinDen

I currently have the B18 B1 stock engine that came with the car. But I just bought a B18 bare block that is going to be honed hot tanked bored and sleeved. I'm gonna drop some low compression pistons in with a nice lightened crank, then rebuild the head up too. Hopefuly she will be a beast.

That sounds like a great way to go. Are you going to put a turbo or a supercharger on?

Well at first I was deadset on a Turbo. But for the past couple of days I have been looking at superchargers. Granted the only S/C I can find are Jackson racing but they seem kinda promising. The only thing is that I have to find a very specific head for the high boost S/C. The Turbo's are a lil easier cause they are pretty much general assemblies. What do you guys think I should use? A Super Charger from supercharges.com or a turbo kit?

Sorry it took me so long to reply. Vortech makes a complete kit and they claim big gains www. vortechsuperchargers.com

yeah they claim big gaines but they also want big money, and the kits don't even include an intercooler, they want an additional 1200 for that.
