Hi all;

I recently shattered the windshield of my '95 4 door
Legend courtesy of a suicide deer. The repair service asked me whether
my windshield is tinted brown or blue. I honestly can't tell. How can I
figure it out? Which color is more likely? The overall tinting of the
windshield appears to me as a very light gray, but the top six inches
has a touch of blue in it if I really use my imagination. I think.

Any help is appreciated.

I had the same problem and never had the answer. The glass company suggested using the most common replacement, which i believe was the blue tint.Don't hold me to that.


With the VIN number the dealer should be able to tell you whatthecorrect replacement is. If your glass company can not tell from the VIN, try another.

I tried giving the dealer the VIN and that didn't help determine the color. So I just ordered the blue. When it showed up, the installer said the smashed windshield was brown. But he also told me the side windows were the blue tint and that the smashed windshield was not the original. So I put the blue one in and it looks great. Just dumb luck.
