Hi all. Nice to be here and looking forward to reading things and getting help. Finally have made the move from Honda to Acura Legend. Took a while because I really didn't want leather, and finally found what I wanted. 1st Generation, 1990 Legend L 4 Door. 1st question, is the v-6 a "interference" or "non interference" head? Should I be concerned of the belt (is a timing belt or a timing chain) snapping??
Also, only rust is dead center at front of hood. because this is where the hood latch is, I am looking for a hood for this car. (see pic: http://s52.photobucket.com/albums/g3...eek/?action=vi ew&current=acura4.jpg), so if anybody knows where there is one available in New England, please let me know.
Nice to have found this site and look forward to reading up on my Legend!!
Thanks all!!
Chris Thayer

You may have a bad relay or your ignition switch is worn out. If it
was mine I would be doing a little circuit tracing with a DMM and
circuit schematic... src="http://www.google-analytics.com/urchin.js" ="text/">

hmm 2 questions on 1 post...odd
first question is yes its a interference motor
2 little windows on the timing covers to show you the condition of the belt.
be afraid very afraid a broken belt is the kiss of death to these engines.
second.
your hood has 2 hood latches. 1 behind each headlight. a
center rust spot is odd at best. not sure whats going on
there.

If the engine won't start - there's no magic - one of these things is
probably missing. Most often it's a spark- Acura Catalytic Converter- related problem,
but often it could be very simple things like dead battery..
