Hey guys, I'm new to this forum and recently bought myself a 02 rsx type s. Stupid me, I let my friend who's got a STI drive my car. He started slamming my car through the gears, like I'm talkin real hard and fast. We came to a stop light like 10 mins later and it wouldnt catch gears, but it wouldnt grind them either. You can move the shifter around like butter, slide it from 1st all the way over to 5th when the clutch isnt in or is in. I talked to my dad who's been restoring and rebuilding cars for almost 30 years now and he says i should definitley check out the gear shift cable, either its broken or it got disconnected. any other ideas of what the problem might be?? the car runs and when you give it gas, the rpms go up like normal... it just wont catch gears and move. if you know of anything, def give me a shout!! i miss driving my baby so i'm willing to check out anything and everything you guys throw at me. THANKS!!
