hello,i have a 91 legend w/ 85k miles,and an automatic trans. i just bought the car,and it wants to take off in 3rd when in 4th or 3rd,and it takes off in 2nd? when in 1st or 2nd. any ideas??? it also never upshifts from 2nd to third unless manually done. any ideas will be great,thanks,mike at imfixinmopars@hotmail.com

 

first guess is shift selecter switch is not sending shift position to the computer. and its defaulting into second

second guess.bad comp?

check fuses?

i think you must first check the transmission oil first. you must know that there's a different tipe transmission oil between manual and automatic transmission. good luck[img]smileys/smiley10.gif[/img]
