Trip Computer Functions
#2
The dashboard output data are as follows:
1) average miles per gallon
2) instantaneous miles per gallon (it updates every second while you drive)
3) miles until empty (seemingly poor estimate though)
4) trip timer
5) miles-traveled recorder (besides the odometer)
6) average speed
7) oil life
8) outside temperature
You can reset numbers 1, 4, and 5 to have them recalculated. For numbers 1 and 5 above, you have two separate records so you can record your overall values as well as your values for each individual trip. I would imagine you can also reset number 6 as well, but I never tried it.

Also, there are:
Oil life (dunno how that works, but I see it often)
Tire pressure (with individual pressure for each tire)
All sorts of warnings (doors/trunk ajar, passenger seat belt not fastened when there is someone on that seat, fuel low, handbrake on while u drive, etc etc)
You can also use it to change settings such asspeed forautomatic lock of all doors,if u want just driver door or all doors unlocked when shifting back into Park, auto headlight on sensitivity, and such.
