E85 in a TSX ?
#1
Greetings Acura nation...
I have a 2006 TSX and have only put 92 octane gas in it. I read in the owners manual that E85 is an acceptable alternative. Not sure if that's really a good idea. Has anyone here tried E85 in their TSX or heard or read of the viability of that??
Newbie here so thanks in advance!

Wow! That is really cool. I would ask your dealership about it but if the manual says it's ok it probibly is. I was watching that futurecar show on discover and it said for an older car like my 2000 Teg that the conversion kit is only a couple hundred bucks. I'll look into it and let everyone know what I find. I'll post it in the concept and rumor mill sectionEdited by: AKinDen

MY BAD!!
I went back and re-read my manual to verify, and it actually says that you can use a 10 % ethanol mix... NOT 85% (E85). I've since read that there is a significant reduction in MPG with anything other than a premium octane fuel..
Sorry for the mis-information and confusion!
