Hello, I am new to this forum. Lots of great info here. I am currently on my 3rd Legend. I am now considering purchasing an 04 TL with Navi. I would like opinions on this vehicle, positive and negative. The TL that I am considering is an 04 with 65k for $21,000. Are there any known issues with this year? How satisfied are you with your TL if its a 04-05 model? I initially considered an 03 type S with 33k for $17000 until I test drove the 04. Any insight you can give me would be helpful.

I recently bought an 04, with 55K for about $21K, and have been VERY pleased until just recently. I have a power steering problem, rack and pinion system and hose are leaking, and it cost me $800 to fix. Very frustrating for a car with only 65K now, and it is an Acura. I honestly expected no major issues like this when buying and Acura, but I am very dissappointed...on top of that, I am still getting the grinding sound, and i have to take it back in again this week, I am in sales and I need my car daily, this really sucks. I really do love the car, the amenities and simply driving the car is a blast. However, with this kind of performance, I think you should expect some issues you would not get with say an Accord or Camry. If I have any other major issues soon, I will be selling and will not buy a TL again.

I am not sure if these previous guys bought used from the dealer or not. In hindsight, I bought a 2003 precertified tl from an acura dealer. No money down and 4% financing. They have taken care of big things(tranny) and small things. No questions asked! I really think if I would of bought it off the street, my opinion might differ greatly.

I own 2 TL's : 96 3.2 and and 04. Both have been terrific cars and would buy a third without hesitating. Other than routine maintenance on the '04, it has needed a new battery - seems some flaky ones got out of the factory.
