Why does my local dealer quote $296.00 to replace the 6 spark plugs on my 1999 Acura TL 2.3

_uacct = "UA-939292-41";

Because some people pay it. They don't call them "stealers" for nothing!
I changed mine myself on my 96 TL last year. Cost about $30 for plugs and less than an hour of my time.

have you priced the spark plugs? list is 22.80 each
my cost is 8.25 each X6=138.80 in parts alone
then figure 1 hour to install
at the dealership rape rate.
btw its a 3.2 engine not the 2.3
the 96 tl calls for a lower grade plug.and 30-40 bucks should cover it.
the 99 may code with a lower grade plug in it.
and for sure will need new plugs sooner.
