Should I buy?

Should I buy?
My wife just sold her 1999 Acura 3.0CL with 175,000 miles on it. Never had any major problems ever except the normal maintenance items. She loved the car, but we now need a 4-door.
She has found a 2003 Acura 3.2TL with 86,000 miles that is a one owner, meticulously maintained, looks and drives like brand new, HOWEVER I read of so many stories of "bad transmissions" on this model.. So should I convince her this is "not" a good buy, or take a chance hoping for the best? Its hard to argue with her since her previous experience went so well, but I hate the thoughts of replacing a transmission... Any advice or should I be concerned about this transmission issue??
Thanks

Trannys are a known weak point, but that should not discourage you. Have a dealer or another good honda/acura shop do a pre purchase inspection and have them focus on the transmission, perhaps even changing the transmission fluid to see what it looks like.

I don't want to discourage you but I have heard several feedback with regard to the transmission problems that caused headaches to many buyers. Why not try have a
09 MDX instead? I have heard that many people prefer this than the 2003 Acura 3.2TL model.
