I was looking at replacing a the stereo on my 03 TL- S and i was told that I cannot replaceit with an aftermarket stereo and keep the audio controls on my steering wheel. If this is the case, does anyone know if it's possible to put the stereo off a 2004 TL in my 03 TL-S?

Thanks for the help

Not true. A good aftermarket car installer can link your steering wheel controls to a new head unit via infared. I believe it's a kit that runs between $35 and $50 (don't quote me on that). I work with someone that did this on their 4-Runner and it works fine.

Now, if you have Navi, you are talking more headaches! I just spent a ton making my system sound better because I was unwilling to get rid of the factor head unit (I have Navi).

Good luck,
