No the navigation system doesnt play standard DVD's, and you should really check your local laws before doing anything aftermarket that would alter that ability. I know that in florida for example the only way something like would be legal is for the car to be parked before the driver would be allowed to watch a television in this situation or else if he or she were caught, would face some serious fines

Hey anybody having problems with 99TL or 96, 97, 98, 99 RL hard disk navigation problem? There are seven regions i beleive. Just know your region by turning on your navigation , setup, info and note the region you have. (could be NE, SC, MG, NV/CA, SE etc......) try to look for it on limewire, and download the software and put that software on a 512mb compactflash card and insert that in a PCMCIA compactflash adapter and your hard drive is ready. That is waht dealers sell and they are solid state.

I have a 2004 Acura TL and the navigation is broken. The dealership said it would be $3200 to fix it. I believe that is more than what I paid for it.

Does anyone else think this is exessive? I also think that something that is that expensive should last longer than 3 years!!!
