i haven't done anything yet causei was afraid something like that would happen. how did you transfer info from old hdd to new flash card. by the way alpine elec. in california will attempt to repair it for a mere $608. they give a 90 day wrty with that and if it can not be fixed they send it back to you n/c. hate to spend that much but i understand now the dealer has new for $900 plus $100 for the info transfer. really stinks.

uh.. i just spend $20 on CF memory and $10 on PCMCIA card, so it shouldn't cost that much to repair unless you want the unit brand new... i'll just have to go to the dealer to see if they have the software, i found on some forum some said that it won't cost a thing for dealer to load the software.. but we'll c..

oh i just plug the old hd to my notebook's pcmcia slot, copy and paste to my notebook, then put the new cf with adapter into the slot, then copy all files to the cf. This suppose to work but it's not for me.. i think it might be the old hdd files are no good already, so i'll go to the dealer over the weekend to c if they can load the prog into my newly cf card..
