Hi all,

I an hoping someone can help-- I have a 2003 TL-S. I am almost positive I was getting close to 400 miles per tank. Now, it seems I am getting closer to 300 miles. I have 54k and have never done a tune up. My warranty expires next month. Should I give it a tune up and then measure the mileage or just go to the dealer and see what they find? BTW, when is the time to give a tune up??

I know there are probably a ton of issues they can use to blame me. BUT, I do not dive any harder than before, I am using the AC less and I use the same gas.

Thanks in advance!!!

wow a 25% loss in fuel milage there has to be something big going on there

intown driving care i recommend a tune up at around 80k

highway cars 100k

but it may be time to check your tire pressures. and your air filter.

are you driving with the windows down. cuz that can hurt the milage.

(these cares get better mpg with windows up and ac on, then they do
with the ac off and the windowns down) but by no means 25% worse.

check that right foot i may have heavy lead deposits on/in it.

lead foot can hurt mpg the most.

I know....it's a huge loss. I am changing the air filter this weekend and will try to ease up with the right foot. Hopefully it's me and not the car. Thanks for the info/advice.< =""><!--
