The Michelin tires on the TL-S (2002) Acura is really pitiful. I've had
to replace 1 about 13k as a result of a bubble. Now another tire just
had an air leak (sidewall). I'm really tired of this tire...I
guess the 'high' performance tire really is easy to destroy.

Does anyone have a lead on good tires? Specifically, I want a tire that
handles well in the rain and is quiet with a smooth ride. I dont drive
like a maniac, and could care less that I dont have an awesome 0-60 or
extremely tight turning. I want a nice tire that wont break the
bank...replacement tires are very expensive!

I haven't had any problems w/ Michelins, other than their expense for replacing the originals. I recently replaced the tires on my RSX with Yokohama Avid V4's and plan to do the same when replacing the tires on my TL.

I just ditched the oem michelin hmxm4's since they were worthless in the rain. I had about 8k miles on them and Discount Tire gave me $50 each for them. I put on the Goodyear F1 DS-G3's. They were highly rated by Car and Driver recently and also on hte Discount website. They make this a different car. I was about ready to give up on the fwd platform prior to the switch.
