i have a 99 TL i was driving on the highway 2 weeks ago and when i let off the gas pettle, my car shut off (as if i turned the key off).


i pulled over put in park re- start dies , 2nd try work dies 5 mins later , and then i was fine for like 2 weeks did it twice again yesterday.





any one know wut could cause this???????????

i would bet 1 of 2 things.

1 ignition switch.get it running then wiggle the keys up and down and side to side (without turning the key)

if it dies then bingo.

the other is a distrubiter.

when it is dead do you have spark?

do you have fuel.
as the hot weather starts hitting us them main bus relays start dieing.

i actually had the same problem, but with my RSX. i was driving and the engine died for a sec then came back on. i didn't know what was going on. then the next morning the car did it a few more time on the way to work, definitely not the greatest feeling. i took it to get looked at, and the mechanic told me that the onboard computer was acting up, and needed to be restarted. so they did that and i haven't had any more problems since. that was about 7 months ago. they told me it would eventually need to be replaced by acura, but not to worry about it until it acted up again. hope this helped
