I just bought a TL and I drove all 4 cars (TL 325I G35 C230) and I chose the TL by far. The BMW and Benz were alot slower car. The BMW handled very well but for the same price of the TL with Nav(No Dice) G35 was fast and smooth but too small and their NAV Sucks really bad.

I traded an A4 for my TL. My inlaws have an SLK-230 and my brother inlaw has a 330i. I don't ever want another German car. German EE is sub-par; they know nothing about current surge suppression and overstress their bulbs with every turn-On. My A4 also had repeated problems with leaking valve gaskets. The 35-Hour union workweek has ruined Germany. I'd rather have kept my Z28 than have bought the A4. Stay with the Japanese car, or even buy American before German. You'll love the German car when it actually works, but if you don't want to constantly be pissed about the poor build quality, stay away from it.
