Just purchased a 2008 TL and absolutely LOVE IT!
One question though, I can't seem to fiqure out what that little square shaped sensor on top of the dashboard is directly above the steering wheel up by the windshield is. The owners manual mentioned a sensor for the auto-lighting but thats over toward the middle, up by the windshield. Anybody know. Thanks in advance!

 

I'm thinking your talking about the sensor for the auto-lights. If you have it set your headlights will go on and off by themselves with the change in lighting.
