Hey man,

I have an 02 TL and I had about the same problem as you but my car wld jerk sometimes after I took off and as it came out of 2nd into 3rd. I took it to the dealer to complain and they recommened a transmission flush to solve the problem. I left my car with them one after noon and the problem was sloved and it hasn't returned. Try a transmission flush and see if that works. It did for me.Edited by: collegeboy32

You have to be careful about the transmission flush. If the car is
very old, and the transmission fluid has never been replaced, sometimes
transmission fluid change results in giving more problems than solving
it. The transmission fluid acts also as a detergent and it takes all
goo off of all the little places inside the transmission, which can
then get stuck somewhere else that could be more disastrous than before.

All I am saying is that exercise caution. Ask a dealer or a mechanic
(preferably someone other than the guy or place that would actually do
the transmission fluid change or else they would be biased) if the
tranmission fluid change would help solve the problem.

Thanks.

You didn't mention how many miles you have on your car. I have heard urban legends about flushing the transmission on high mileage cars. If you have less than 50,000 miles I don't think there should be a problem. If you have over 100,000 I would be careful about doing a flush.

Good Luck

Sounds like a tranny issue. These cars are known for bad transmissions.
