I took my '04 RSX to have a CEL light checked. They said it was an 02 sensor problem.


I thought i caught a break when the mechanic said it was still under warranty (5 years and under 50,000 miles). Unfortunately, when i got back to the dealer he said it was only a four year warranty and sure enough that's what my Acura literature says.


The mechanic still thinks he's right about the warranty being five years under federal law. Could he be right?

I have an 06 rsx type-s and Acura told me the same thing... 4 years or 50,000 miles. Unfortunatly I'm almost at 70,000...It bites!

 

I checked another dealership and they said the same thing.


Now that i look at the car warranties they seem to say the same thing.


Ouch. Those O2 sensors aren't cheap.
