Default Winter Tires for RL

I am a new owner of a 2005 RL and am enjoying the car. Recently I have gone to most tire manufacturer sites and used their tire selector to see what winter tire they would recommend. All of the sites come back with "sorry we don't make a tire for you" and some counter with all season alternatives. Any comments?

So I take it that you are wanting to put real snoe tires on your vehicle. Is that correct.?
What is the tire size that you have on it right now.?

Default Winter Tires

The size of my Pilots are P245/50R17-98V. I have new info from the dealer that indicates that Michelin Alpins diameter is 26.77 versus the 26.69 of the pilots and thus will work fine.

They sure ought to be able to find a tire that's the right fitment.

I just went to SimpleTire.com and got a set of Michelin Pilot Alpins -- love em. Great all-around all-season tire, quiet, excellent traction, great road manners.
