RL Keyless Entry problem

I have a 98 RL 3.5 My keyless entry opens the doors fine but doesn't work for the trunk...any ideas?

hmmm.

does the trunk open with the button in the car or do you have to use the key?



the keyfob could also be damaged and may need replaced



i have also seen a weak batt in the fob just have enough power for 1 thing but not the other.



hop on 1 foot rub your tummy while huming the toon to dixy land.

oh wait thats a code read never mind.

The trunk does open from the driver door button...I'll try changing the batt and see if that helps...

If I remember correctly, you have to hold the remote button down more than 1 second to activate the trunk release. If your remote battery is weak it may not provide enough juice to send a signal for more than a second.
