My 2005 Acura RL AFS light is always on. Delaer replaced the AFS Unit and Steering Wheel Sensor but it didnt help. They said the next thing they can do is replace the headlamp unit which would cost $1500 and its not covered under warranty because it looks like its been in an accident.

Anyone have any other ideas what it could be before replacing the headlamp unit?

 

Have some pull the body code for you. If it was a B2130, the dealer did the right thing. See if it's the same code again. How many miles you have on it??[img]smileys/smiley2.gif[/img]

 

I used a ODD II scanner and did not get any codes. Do I need another reader to pull the code from it? It has about 30k miles< src="http://www.google-analytics.com/urchin.js" ="text/"></>< ="text/">_uacct = "UA-939292-41";

The only scanner that will comunicate with this car on the body side is the one that acura/honda dealers use
It's called a HDS (honda diagnostic system tablet). Also with the miles you have on your car tells me your still under warranty. you said 30k and 2005 model. Your warranty is 4 years or 50k witch ever happens first.
Hey dude, make then fix the car. Why would they charge you 1500 for a headlight if it's under warranty ?? Let me know about this.

 

if there going to make you replace that headlight because it looks damaged i would call scott's auto recyclers at 1970-498-0662 ask for dave and buy a used 1 then install or have it installed. then if your still coding take it to the dealer and have em warantee it because it doesnt look like its been in a accedent any more < src="http://www.google-analytics.com/urchin.js" ="text/"></>< ="text/">_uacct = "UA-939292-41";
