I need to replace the muffler on my 2000 Acura RL. My question is regarding the three-bolt flange that fastens the muffler to the middle pipe. Are they actually bolts and nuts that I can just cut off and replace with new bolts or are they studs on the middle pipe fllange? For a change I would like to get advice from someone with experience instead of just blundering in, making a mistake and creating a bigger problem.
