Default Question about 2023 RDX Locks

I have a question about my 2023 RDX. With a passenger in the front seat, and all car doors are locked, the passenger can open their door. I know that is how the driver door works, but I’m surprised about the passenger door. Is
this how the locking system works, or is something wrong?
Thanks for your help.

There are quite a few options available in programming how the locks behave. I think a review of your manual would help. Having said that my 2022 RDX has similar if not the same behavior. I would almost think it a safety feature so any occupant can get out in the event of an accident.

I don't understand why would you want to lock your passenger in? Is it a child? You might be referring to child locks, but I think normally, a passenger can open their door. Do you mean the door opens without them pressing the unlock button?
