2021 RDX Brakes
I have a 2021 RDX. AT 3,000 miles, I had my pads and rotors replaced due to significant squealing when applying the brakes. The replacements have not corrected the problem, which I am told by Acura, is due to a "new" coating on the rotors. They acknowledged the problem, but have no fix for it. I imagine I'm not the only person with this problem??? I'm waiting to hear back from Acura if the 2022 RDX's have different rotors and pads, or the same "problematic" ones. Am I alone with this issue????

That would drive me nuts. Since you have already replaced the rotors and pads I would put some anti squeal grease on the pads and guides and replace the metal backing pad with an anti squeal backing pad. Or maybe replace the pads with some better pads like Akebono. Good luck!

I had a 2019 RDX.. just traded it in a few weeks ago for the 2022.
Brakes. I had a similar issue on the 2019... they acknowledged an issue, did a replacement, and it seemed to improve. However, I was still getting a very odd squeal / squeak on the breaks when they very cold (in MN). Once the rotors and pads warmed a bit, it would go away but the noise it would make was brutal... like a combination of rolling over broken glass and hydraulic fluid pumping through the dashboard. Had never heard that one before.
I haven't gotten the same issue on the 2022, and its been plenty cold... hopefully that issue, whatever it was, has been solved.
Hope that helps.
