2016 rdx, BRAKE SYSTEM LIGHT OFF/ON, changed brake pads only

New to this forum, not my car, wifey 2016 RDX. Changed the brake pads on car, the rotors are fine did not touch, all around, BRAKE SYSTEM LIGHT has been coming ON/OFF, tried to DIY on how to reset but not finding much.

any help would be greatly appreciated..

Have you checked the brake fluid level since changing he pad?

Brake light won’t reset it means something’s off. Check brake fluid level first as that’s the most common after a pad change, then make sure the parking brake is fully released and no sensor wires were disturbed. If it’s still on you’ll need to scan for codes.
