I've been a pretty loyal Saab buyer. I bought my son a new 2003 9-3 Linear for his first car. Six months ago I traded in my 9-5 and bought a Subaru Legacy GT limited. It's a fairly high performance car that made me realize just how old the Saab technology seemed to be. So after the Saab had been in the shop more times than any other car I've owned, I told my son we were trading it in for a new one. I told him to let me know what Japanese cars he liked. I wanted to make sure the new one would be dependable (vs. the GM/Saab). He picked the RSX so I went to look. Being a car nut, I obviously was attracted to the S type and thought that it was well worth the extra 2 thousand. So it's ordered and should be in soon. I've used these forums a lot in the past to get information on cars so I thought I'd ask, with an RSX-S coming soon, tell me what everybody thinks about these cars. Any good tips, hints, suggestions....

i dont know of any type s, or RSX buyers who have had any complaints...they are very nice quick cars, and the stock drivetrain has quickly become the engine of choice for people swapping engines into older HMC products.

i just bought the new 06 type s and its awesome, its got all the good safety stuff in it if thats a concern, and the sound system it comes with is better then any stock one ive heard thats in the same price range. the ride is so smooth and the pick up makes it easy to get on a highway.
