Hello there! I found this forum while looking for some help about my car. I own a 1999 Cl 3.0. It has the bose stereo/speaker system with pioneer 6 disc CD changer. I am trying to find help on how to customize the system. I would like to add a bazooka subwoofer for base but was told that the bose system will not work if customized. I find this a little hard to believe so was wondering if anyone had any advice for me? Thanks in advance!

 

hmm...i dont know how the system would detect an addition to the system...i know that with some factory amps, you cannot simply run a wire from the stock rear speakers to a sub box, and you have to insert an RCA adapter upstream of the amp.

 

With my wifes Interga we have had problems with adding anything to it that is after market. We tried to add an alarm system to it but was unsuccessful in the addition. the battery on some of the acuras is smaller than most cars. so take a look also take it to your local stero shop and see what they have to say.[img]smileys/smiley2.gif[/img]

 

thanks for the help. I would take it to some place like car toys but I don't trust them. They want to sell you stuff The last time I had a stereo system installed in my mustang, there was a small electrical short that burned the carpet. lol I figured someone here had the bose system that had successfully upgraded. I guess I will call around to several places and ask. I don't want them to mess up the existing system if they don't know what they are doing lol
