Question New Tires

I have a 2003 MDX purchased used from a reputable car dealer in CO - I did not realize that it have 2 different sets of tires on it & when my TPMS light kept coming on, I took it into Acura (it's covered under the warranty) & they notified me that the 2 rear tires were infected with road rot & would need to be replaced. I was only finacially able to replace 1 right away. When I took it in, the tire shop told me about the different tires AND that all wheel drive tires are to be replaced in FOURS not individually. Like I said, I am not in a financial position to replace all 4 so I just had the 1 worst one replaced. I notified the dealer & they refuse to contact me any further - does anyone have any ideas on what I can do? I'd hate to be repsonsible for a costly repair because the tires are not all the same (even though I should have looked before I bought it, but I've never owned an all wheel drive vehicle before & did not know about the tires). Thanks!

Replace the two tires with serious road rot. Acura's all-wheel-drive system is not a full-time awd system- it mainly drives the front wheels while on the road and adapts when the system detects the need for awd. While it is ideal to replace all four tires, it is expensive. It looks like the previous owner was in the same boat when it came to replacing the tires....

Default Thanks

I have replaced both rear tires & will be doing the front ones next month so that they will all be the same - it just upsets me that the dealership is refusing to talk to me.
